2025 Quilt Show

General Rules

• Quilts that have been previously entered in the Arts in the Alley Quilt Show will not be accepted.
• Quilts must have been completed within the past 3 years and must be the work of the entrant.
• All quilts much have 3 layers held together with stitches.

Category Definitions:

Sizes for all entries are determined by the perimeter measurement of the quilt. Assistance with measuring will be available at registration. The Quilt Show Committee reserves the right to determine and/or combine quilt classes if too few entries are received. Quilt descriptions for entries may be sent early to: dljnevans@gmail.com

• Duet Quilt – top made by one or more people and quilted any another person → Small, Medium, or Large
• Solo Hand Quilted – top and quilting done by one person (pieced, Applique or Embroidered) → Small or Large
• Solo Machine Quilted – top and quilting done by one person → Small or Large
• Solo Mixed Techniques – (applique, embroidery, whole cloth, etc.) top and quilting done by one → Small *or Large)
  *1st time entry in ANY quilt show
• Small Items – garments, purses, totes, table runners, pillows, etc.
• Youth – up to 18 years

Judging & Pickup

Best of Show Award Winner will be moved from its category and another will be moved up

People’s Choice Award Voting will be voted on by the public between Saturday (9/20) at 12 PM and Sunday (9/21) at 1 PM

Helena McComb Award – A $500 award, awarded by the McComb family in memory of one of the Arts in the Alley co-founders, will be presented in addition to other awards in any category of the Arts in the Alley shows.

From the Quilt Show, one entry featuring flowers will be nominated by the Show judges. The final decision for the Helena McComb Floral Award will be made by the McComb Family and presented to the winner

Pick-Up & Claiming:

Entries must remain on display until 4:30 PM on Sunday, Sept. 21. Quilts must be picked up between 5:00 and 5:30 PM that same day. A claim check is required for pickup.
